Working successfully within a team, the STE (Special Test Equipment) Test Engineer will help design the qualification and testing environments to aide in system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle. Essentially this team develops an emulator to the Space Vehicle which will be used on the ground in support of Acceptance and Qualification testing. This will entail assisting in the following areas:Generation of system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and toolsDevelopment of test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new productsDevelopment of functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systemsDesign, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturingWhat you’ll experience:Technologies that aren’t just top-notch, they’re often top-secretA team of bold thinkers committed to exploring what’s nextOpportunities to gain new knowledge - as it’s discoveredWhat you bring to the table:A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with some Mechanical Engineering background or experienceWillingness to learn test engineering concepts, principles, and theoriesForward thinking and self-starterWhat sets you apart:Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting, and exceeding personal and team commitmentsAbility to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexityCommitment to ongoing professional developmentAttention to detail and highly organizedFamiliarity with general test equipment:Power Supplies, Multimeters, Signal Generators, Signal/Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etcSpecific software applications familiarity:Electrical schematic/board layout software such as Mentor, Cadence, Eagle or KiCadMechanical CAD software such as CREO, SolidWorks, AutoCADMicrosoft tools suiteSalary Note This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
